I’ve been shooting with Fuji’s X100f for a good amount of time and it has been my go-to for a while for both travel and portrait work. It has no problem doing more heavy lifting when I ask it during lower light and more challenging situations. With that said the only drawback to it has been its size. It’s not pocketable and when I bring it out in the city, it requires me to bring cotopaxi’s allpa 4L hip-pack to feel secure about its voyage through NYC. That setup plus an iPad mini have been a fantastic EDC for all day shooting in the city (recommend!). The only way this gets better is that I’ve swapped out that camera for the Ricoh GRIII with Q20ii flash. This has allowed me to ditch the bag, add a tiny battery and throw the flash, camera, and battery in jacket / pants pockets without it being cumbersome. This has been doing triple duty as both an impromptu portrait camera as well as a party and street photography camera.
Below are some photos from the happy hour at Syndicated in Brooklyn as well after party at Mad Tropical.
